It's funny that we both went the same route!! We both got tired of being jerked around by speed shops and then said F'it and we started doing our own wrenching!
Most of this is just experience and nothing more.

Check out the Henessey Performance Camaros...at first glance not cheap, but thats just cause its not pin-pricking u to death, its a lump sum thats gonna save thousands in the end!
I have looked at them and I have seriously considered throwing a TVS on it but I want to have a warranty for a little while. My warranty on the truck only lasted 6k miles.

Speaking of Sucking dick and Bolt holes...
Brian you still stand-by Jimmy at Royal Muffler in Chatsworth? I need to find someone competent to do my exhaust who will do a good job on it. Figure you would know of anyone around who you would trust your own car too, any ideas?
I would start hacking it out myself but I don't have a welder yet and I'm kinda pressed on time at the moment to get this truck on the road.
Thanks

So today got a few things done, summit came a day early!

Started with the Throttle body O-ring. O-ring groove was very VERY deep on the intake...

So of course the O-ring isn't gonna do much now is it!! ...

So I put some RTV in the groove...

And then put the O-ring in it...

Not much improvment. I also put a bead of RTV on the back of the TB so with all that yummy goodness I hope that it seals...if not than I'll be running lean!!

Here's how she looks now...

Also I found a MAP sensor that I had laying around but there's no rubber grommet on the reference line...

So I made do with an extra O-ring I had handy, I think it might be one of my spare injector O-rings!

"Tight like a Tiger" now!!!

I also got some Fuel adapter fittings to go from the stock GM lines to AN fittings. Never actually used one of these quick connects before but does this look right or am I missing something in between? I have a feeling I'm gonna have lots of fuel leaking in here pretty soon!!!

So am I missing something or is that really gonna hold a seal on the fuel lines? I got my doubts on this one.

So then it was time to move on to the intake gaskets, so far the Throttle Body O-ring didn't fit, the MAP sensor didn't have a grommet, I'm skeptical of the fuel line adapters...do you think my intake gaskets are gonna work too?? Annnnnndddd That's a big negative too!!

Here's the gasket groove...

And here's the gasket...

Notice anything?? Apparently these are FAST intake gaskets and the FAST intake has a notched groove at one of the corners (someone with a FAST intake or knows what they look like could confirm this I guess). Anyways, as you can see they weren't gonna fit now were they!

So I did some snipping ...

And now all the gaskets fit like a glove!!

Does this mean it's finally time to put the damn intake on?? I've been waiting for this for about a month now and my heads have been taped up for about 6 months!

Time for them to see the light of day...but not for too long. I cleaned the ports up real good, although they were already pretty clean to begin with...

And then on went the intake, I torqu'ed them down to 131 in/lbs which doesn't seem like alot but last thing I want to do is strip a bolt hole in one of Richard's heads!!

Looks kinda mean on there!!

All I have left to do is finish cutting, fitting and assembling the fuel lines which is IMPOSSIBLE without a Vice ...need to get one!! And after that it's thee-fans, serpentine and A/C belts, last of the wiring harness, new spark plugs, wire up the starter and download a tune and hope she doesn't blow up! Oh yeah, and I need to put the headers one!! All of which should take me less than an hour. Oh...I might want to get some fluids in the engine too!! Lol
