The benefit of the cogs I can see is you can run a much bigger front pulley on the jack shaft to get a lot more surface area for belt contact and reduce slip on the surps to pretty much nothing and then do your stepping up on the cogs with big and little pulleys that WON'T slip.

so is it on yet??? Or are you gonna look at it for a while and talk about rear springs!


this time around he does not have to build his engine and other stuff thats done....this build should fly

not this week, have to go control F-18's, looking to start next weekend. While everybody's watching football, I'll hopefully be wrenching in the garage

The cogged belt will make more noise, but it should last quite a while and you'll know if it slips, teeth will come off of it. The rear looks like it is a 1:1 correct?

yes 1:1, want to start out around 10lbs of boost. I still have the oversize crank damper so 1:1 will get me plenty for now, however, I do have an alternate cogged pulley for "fun time"

With that 2.9" pulley on there I think you'll be well past your 10psi starting point.
