Hey guys, well good news and bad. First the bad news is I took a 3 week tour to Bahrain, I won't be home to work on the truck till the 3rd Sept. Good news is a few things below.

First off, i'm more and more worried about getting the truck moving from the hole. The 4k full boost launch seems like a big hit off the transbrake. I took some measurements of the 305's. I THOUGHT my foose rims were 9.5inch wide, well there actually 9inch. The 305's are 12inch wide unmounted and only 11 mounted and closer to 10inch of ground contact. Since I got 3 weeks down time, I removed then and sent them to Weld Craft Wheels to be widen, they told me it would be a 3 week turn around. After some measurements from rim to springs, it looks like I could clear 11.5inch rim, but it would leave about .5 inch. I decided on 11.25 to give me a little more clearance, so they will be adding 2.25 per rim.

Next question is, I got a local buyer for the 305's. I'm thinking about getting a set of the nt05r's radials, this is a race compound drag radial. Should I stick with the 555r's or switch to the nto5r in the 315 size? Looking for a sub 1.8 60'".

Other updates, transmission is done, but there holding off on shipping it because I won't be home.
Purchased the Circle D 245mm Pro III 4L80E convertor, 2C stall, but no updates on a shipping date. Also got the Flexplate from Chris that will bolt the 4l80E convertor to my 4.8.

I'm still trying to decide on either the lokar shifter or getting a center console and installing a B&M shifter

Are there any safety features on that lokar? Like a reverse lock out?

Lokar has a neutral safety switch and a positive lock-out in park and neutral.

Question for guys running a transbrake. Can I control the launch RPMS or will it be idle then full stall? (like a on/off switch) I'm playing the 4k launch out in my head and all I see is tire spin and or the rear end laying all over the track.

After some more research, i'm really leaning toward the Nitto NT05R's, mounted up on the 11.25" rims.

i had my circle d converter within a week of placing the order. their customer service is great! what if you run a 2 step and set it at 2k or so say. not sure where you start spooling but id think if you could build some boost. not really be up on the converter at all. not have to worry about pushing through brakes. you could leave the line a little easy and shortly after you hit up at 4k after the transbrake releases you will build boost but already be moving. that prob sounds confusing but heres cliff notes. dont fully boost it until your rolling out if it cant handle the hit

What all do you plan on doing to the 80E? I think you should be able to hit that goal with the trans upgrades and some good tires and 15# like you dynoed.

It's Ckperformance's competition build, but from what I've learned about auto's, the key upgrades is the E4340 steel billet input shaft and 34 element sprag. Hope it does the trick.

Dragpac it's never been to the track with the 5speed. It never shifted right after the turbo was added, so it's been mostly a 3rd-4th gear roll truck till now. The factory clutch was a monster at hold the power till I start shooting the nitrous. Should be interesting to see what it looks like when it comes out.
