Thanks guys.

Well my transmission is still not here. I was told the box leaked fluid and had to be returned and repackaged. They did refund me my shipping to make it right but at this point I just want my transmission.

Also the Cal-Trac install has been kicking my butt. Betweem my lowering shackles needing to be cut, gas tank dropped with 1/2 talk gas to reach nuts, and rear RST exhaust with a hidden hitch to boot, it's just not a real easy install lol.

I didn't have a press so I went to the local Habor Frieght store, all good now and pressed the front bushings in the leafs. Tomrrow I have to get my U bolt threads cleaned up because they rusted some where the overload spring is gone they wont draw up.

I'll keep pressing though till the 80e rolls in.

Couple pictures.

Well found out why my transmission wasn't delivered. DHL returned it to sender for the box leaking. CKperformance opened the box and found a cracked housing, in the shape of a fork lift toe. Nice, so they are swapping housing and sending it back out this week. Thats pretty much all i'm waiting for.

The Cal-Tracs are in and overload spring removed. It's back to riding firm again in the rear. It's hard to say how much better traction is because it's been cool outside so roads are cold now. Truck still spins in first and second gear.

I decide to give the engine a small compression test to see how shes doing after 10-12k miles of 10-15psi. I only checked 5 and 7. I figure if 7 in hanging in there, mostly likely so are the others.

The test was done cold engine, unhooked coils, removed fuel pumps fuse and only removed plugs from test cylenders. Both 5 and 7 came out to 160psi. So far so good for the little 4.8L holding up, 84k miles on the clock. I will say # 7's plug tip was a lighter color, not a big fan of that but not much I can do about it.

Number 5

Number 7

You Sir are correct. Left manifold is the stock RST JBA shorty, then KB's pipes are all heat wrapped. I'll prolly wrap the lefty someday. I was also thinking about running a 2 range colder plug in 7 also. Bugs me that damn thing is still different then the others even running fat on E85.

Get your injectors flow tested and put the one that flows the most in #7.

Thats one way, but it would seem if you run fat enough, even #7 would be safe with a injector thats some where in the middle.

Anyways, I added a little more fuel to the tune and swapped all plugs including the wideband. I'm now running heat range 7 on all but number 7. I'm running a 8 plug in that one. All gapped a .26. So far, idle and driving around in and out of boost feels the same as the Tr6's.

Also go the big dog in, now just need a few days off to install. I have a trip this weekend, so I won't be able to work on it till next week.

Ordered all fitting and lines for the Tru-Cool, should be in Friday.
