Why the 80e over a T-56? I seen that you were debating between the two in another thread.

I went auto mainly because it would hold power. Plus i've always owned stick cars, never been able to stall up or leave off a transbrake before, just sounds like a good time.

Thanks 08Chevy, I'll do my best put it together right. Should be home next week and parts start coming in Friday and next week.

Default Home Sweet Home!!

Alright, back in the great USA again, love this place!

Good news is I got a lot of **** in. Bad news on rims. About mid trip I was going to by some Bogarts, so I canceled my order on the rims. Turns out the deal didnt work out, so now I got my stock 9inch rims back. $70 shipped there, $70 back, $45 for remouting and I got the same damn setup I had. Not cool, i kicked the cat to make me feel better about that. I'll most likely end up buying a cheap setup to put some good rubbers on the back only later though. Ended up ordering a Cal-Trac setup, but bars are back ordered for powder coatin. Should be in within a week though.

Heres pictures and a last of the 5speed video. Got the rear support cover installed and moser cap ARP kit installed last night.

On to the order, early Christmas from Summit Racing.

Copied Order:

ARP-230-7304 BOLT SET TRQ CONVERT

ARP-330-2802 CHVY-LS1 11MM FLYWHL BOLT KIT

ATM-17105 2-1/16" TRIPLE PILLAR B

BMM-80680 MEGASHIFTER TRUCK STYLE

INN-3794 DB-GAUGE RED (GAUGE ONLY)

LAK-40101 FRONT RACE STRUT 90/10

LOK-TD34L80FM DIPSTICK FIREWALL MOUNT

LUC-10043-1 80/90 PLUS GEAR LUBE QT x 3

LUC-10052-1 SEMI SYN ATF HIGH PERF QT x 12

MSR-7107 DIFFERENTIAL COVER

MSR-7115 MAIN CAP STUD KIT

SWW-114285 2-1/16 TRANS TEMP

SUM-P33705 EMB SUMMIT/USA FLAG Not sure how, but they tossed that in..

Also got the rear strut extenders off ebay and a true cool 40k.

Default Update

Alright, well got a few things done. Shes coming along.
Also, about the rear cover, that damn thing is sexy no doubt. I was also surprised how thick it was, also lets you run more fluid.

I go the rear Strut extenders installed, didnt expect much with those, but honestly the rear end rides much better. I really noticed the difference at our local wal-mart, going over the speed bumps. The rear is smoother now then the front, no bouncing or harshness, just absorbs better.

On to the pictures.

Couple more of diff and moser ARP stud kit.

Front Lakewoods installed and sway bar removed.

Fluids and fill stick

Boost/Trans Temp/Wideband installed

Cal-tracs came in and started installing, removing overload leaf.
