I wanted to see if double wall tips really did run cooler than signal wall so I took my Silverado on a lunch trip and made some spirited blasts back home and measured the tubing temp. The double wall tips were only 100*F while the tubing right behind the tip was 260*F and the exhaust gases were 350-400*F. It's cool that the double wall tip runs 150* lower. Maybe the double wall tip with the bezel will keep the abs plastic from melting

I knew I wanted the exhaust tip to exit down low through the body panel in front of the rear tire but didn't want a tip just poking through a hole. I brainstormed and came up with using a 64-66 Corvette exhaust bezel that 3.5" in diameter and 3" double wall tips. I plan to coat the bezel matte black with something like Cerakote to keep the abs plastic panel from melting. Which version looks better?

#2 I can weld the screw hole up and smooth it out so don't worry about that.

I wish I could find a double wall tip with the same angle as the bezel but that wouldn't be easy.

Very careful measure and cut well within the lines. Still have plenty of sanding to do in order to make it fit nice and tight. But overall I'm pleased with it even though it's a loose test fit.

Haha the damn power wheels take up a 1/4 of it. My next house will definitely have a large shop with a/c and heat.

The other catch can didn't fit like I thought it would where I wanted it to so I got a different one. This one has -10an ORB fittings, stainless steel media packed baffle, o-ring sealed screw on canister, dipsticks, and -4an drains. The breather filter is a Aeroflow -8an screw on with stainless steel filter media. The one with the -10an fitting was too large of a diameter and would've looked weird on the catch cans. I also got Atomic to custom mount the Lokar pedals I've had laying around forever.

For the HPtuners gurus is it all possible to "patch in" other OS tunes into my 2006 TBSS OS? Like trans tunes, fan tunes, stuff like that?

My fans are wired from pin 36 to relays then to fans. (A switched ground setup) From my understanding pin 36 on the ECM connector is the low fan and pin 56 is high fan. I am unsure why pin 56 isn't being used but that's how my custom harness is wired. Or does anyone know if 2006 TBSS OS supports both high and low fan setups?

It should definitely have 2 control pins. You can't patch in stuff except for segments like the transmission, which you can. Your pcm will certainly do dual speed fan controls and 80e. Be happy to help with tuning if you want
