yes they are better imo. if those were coated they would look good but the grinder had some fun lol.

awesome work on your own headers . this is something i really want to take a crack at on my own (making headers) aswell in an old chevy (gen 1 camaro or nova/chevy 2 65 ish) for a drag car.

you made it seem alot easier than it is though. how long did you have in the set?

Thanks, the new headers will be coated once they are done.

As far as time A LOT!!!!!

I kept track of the time spend on planing, cutting, tacking, re-cutting, and re-tacking on the passenger header. Not including turbo placement, I have 13 hours in just the one side. They still need to be welded and waste gates done....... I'm also sure I spent even more time on the drivers side... I'm going to guess 40-50 hours total once done....

Hey there man thing is looking good so far. I was looking through pics and saw these. Thought they might give a little inspiration. I took them at Ozark Raceway Park in Rodgersville, MO. at the street machine shootout last September.

Anyways keep up the great work and good luck on your build.

Why did u think it was essential to do equal length? ( not challenging, just wondering)

Pulse timing. It's actually pretty important in the scheme of things regarding turbo applications. Often overlooked.

Thanks for the pictures. I have done a lot of picture searching myself and have a few pictures of that car when he had an air to water set-up.... I hope mine turns out 1/2 as good as his looks....

Equal length mean max HP in all applications. In the turbo app, it doesnt seam to make that much of a differents. But I building these headers in hopes to grow into them with much larger turbos and a stronger engine. I'd like to clear 200mph in the standing and low 9's in the 1/4. 1200-1500 rwhp will be MORE than enough. As it stands, I want the car to make around 700 rwhp.

Wow, i can appreciate all your hard work,

Those headers had to be very tedious, They really look great!!

So what size turbos are gonna feed that beast?

Very kick *** project for sure!

And BTW i thought your truck manifolds were very nice, how much better could they have been?

Keep up the good work.
