How's the swap going? What converter from circle D did you end up going with?

swap is slow with work and traveling last few weeks. Hopefully get it wrapped up this weekend.

The converter was recommended from circleD for my "mostly towing" application. It uses the stock 310mm 4L80e converter core with a billet cover and piston, plus some internal mods to handle the power and stall out around 2500-2600.

Nice Truck....for that much power, 80e is the way to go.

Thanks. It's took awhile but ended up good. I ended up buying 3 different input shafts before we got the right one. I had a horrible grinding on decel and reverse. Got that all sorted out now. The converter is badass and so is the 80e.

I actually didn't use the crossmember I bought or the trans mount. And I have 2 other inputs shafts that would work on most of the transfer cases, ha. If anyone is interested in doing the swap that's pretty much everything you would need.

Sounds about right...always spending money only to find another problem! Glad to see you stuck with it and got it figured out!

If I ever get a NNBS Suburban, I plan on it looking like yours.
