Ok i know this is probably a dumb question, but what kind of assembly lube do they use thats red? Looks almost like trans gel

Looks thicker than the black crc assembly lube i am used to... More like a grease!

It's not as thick as what I thought it looked like. I expected the same thing till I got some on my hand.

So they just used alot of it then, apparently! Makes sense if the engine is going to be shipped and stored and not necessarily installed immediately after being put together.

It's probally Torco MPZ assembly lube. I have used this product before to assemble an engine.

Engine Assembly Lube

I will never use that crap from CRC ever again. It had something in it and it scratched a new bearing and crank journal.
