Put about 80 miles on the truck today. Went over hot side bolts when it was cold this morning and snuggled them back down since the bolts always stretch the first few times heat hits them. Truck drives awesome. I have a super small wastegate spring in the truck right now lol, it only makes 110kpa so like under 2lbs of boost at the moment and the wastegate has no issues holding it solid. It actually feels pretty good for such low boost. Like it’s not fast but it’s smooth and feels like I’m gonna really end up liking this truck if I keep the power conservative so it stays together. Truck weighs 4100lbs 4250 with me in it.
put a tool box I got off market place for $40 in the back of the truck. It’s from a Tacoma so it fits between the bed rails which I like because it’s lower profile and I’ll be able to throw a roll up bed cover on it if I decide to. Figured homemade turbo truck needs a place to keep harbor freight tools lol.
installed a lower front air dam. Truck still needs to be lower. Especially in the back.
heard a noise while at harbor freight after hitting a speed bump. Turns out I forgot the adjusters in the passenger side when I removed the drums and one poped off and wedged itself between the rotor and this happened.
