Ordered a rear axle flip and c notch kit for this truck. Also picked up some drop shocks for it off fb market place. This thing drives really nice now, still needs some more love but Ive been widdiling away at things here and there. Got the turbo, manifold, air filter, some couplers in. Waiting on the 3 bar map sensor to switch it over to a speed density tune then I’ll do a half *** quick na tune on it then tear it down for the turbo install once I have everything. The passenger side header has one of those crappy manifold gaskets that come with the headers and it’s already blown out. I’ll have to extract 3 broken bolts when I pull the headers off but I’ve done a few and they usually aren’t too bad overall, especially since I have the front fender liners out it makes access allot easier.
Little eBay suede steering wheel wrap makes the truck feel nicer then it is.

Going to change to 275/55/17 tires when I can get my hands on a decent set.

$20 eBay tailgate spoiler. Didn’t come with hardware so I modified some push friction clips to sit in there and keep it in place.

What suspension did you go with? Ive been thinking about ordering a flip kit and viking shocks for me, but I was looking at ordering everything besides the flip kit from atomic because I want to put the weld on brackets on the front of the truck so i can do a 4/6 drop. With there kit you dont have to change anything else in the front other then welding on that bracket and installing the coilovers. I currently have a 2/4 drop with C-notch.

I’m running eBay 2” drop spindles in the front right now with bilstein 4600’s my neighbor gave me for free off his 2005 2500, I had to make T link bars to run them but they were free. In the back I’m just doing a eBay axle flip and c notch and probably removing the drop shackles and putting stock ones back in, depending on how it sits.

today I extracted two broken exhaust bolts on the bank 1 cylinder head. I have one more bolt to do on the bank 2 head but I think it will be easier to access. Started fabbing up the cross over pipe after bolting up the drivers side oem exhaust manifold. Cut a little more weight here and there were I could. Also roll pan came in but I’m gonna have to hammer out the passenger side lower bed corner because the rear bumper got hit and pushed it in a bit. Hopefully it doesn’t look too terrible when it’s done. Also picked up a set of 275/55/17 toyo st3’s for the truck. Sold my jeep commander today for asking price. I only drove it a couple of times but it got God aweful gas mileage and I just didn’t enjoy it like I do my gms. I need to do better about taking pics when I’m working on this truck but I’ve just really been getting into the project and enjoying it.

Making a little progress. Both charge pipes are done. Intercooler mount is welded up. Gotta finish the cross over pipe, downpipe and weld my wastegate onto the turbine housing. Also decided to change to a nnbs intake manifold on it because I’ve heard they have much better distribution of air to the cylinders. I also replaced all the passenger side manifold bolts with grade 12.9 socket cap bolts for strength. Still gotta install the super servo in the trans, fuel pump with relay, decap and flow test the injectors. Just trying to tackle one small task a day on it so the progress continues.

Decapped my injectors and took them to my buddys to flow test and clean them. They came out to 72ml per min for the lowest flowing and 77ml per min for the highest flowing. I put the highest flowing injectors in the back cylinders. Also swapped a nnbs manifold onto the truck. Still need to finish the downpipe/ cross over pipe and dump tube, install my 450 lph fuel pump and wire up a relay to it as well as install my super servo but it’s getting closer to being able to drive it. I think I have a half tank of regular in the truck still so it will give me plenty of time to work on the part throttle tune first before really getting into it.

Thanks man. I’ve been really enjoying working on it. I’m in no rush to finish it but I only have maybe a week worth of work till it’s drivable and I can start tuning it. I also have allot of suspension parts that I’ll be installing, rear flip kit and c notch, shock relocation brackets, rear sway bar off my parts suburban and a limit slip I need to install. I just want the truck to be well put together and balanced when it’s done. I’ll probably also do the 19+ oem big brake setup on it as well but I need to test fit a front wheel on my Tahoe to make sure they will clear the brakes.

down pipe is pretty much done besides final shaping on the tip and I’ll probably open the fender opening slightly larger and then put some of that protective door edging on the opening as a trim. Dump tube is done. Gonna finish up the cross over tube and it will be ready to fire up.

yours is exactly how mine use to be, fyi mine is pretty cool the way we did it. Right where you have it going out the fender we put a cutout right there and then on the back side close to the firewall we cut a hole in the bottom side by the 90 and put put a 3" flange right there and then ran full exhaust off of it under the truck. So im im driving around its on the exhaust under the truck and if I want i have a switch inside to open the cutout and I also have a holley output on it which opens it at 3400 rpm

Well it’s alive. Changed over to a 3 bar os in the tune, put 67lb in for injector flow rate and it fired right up as soon as it trigger the code for the maf failing. Runs great so far. E fans work and are super quiet. Exhaust is surprisingly quiet while cruising it. Gotta install my trans cooler, super servo and wire in the new fuel pump with a relay (after I run this regular out) super happy with it so far though and also no leaks which is always a big plus.
