Default New project DD, my new Pewter pooper :)

Well traded my old DD (98 regal GS) for a new DD, its a 2000 RCSB 2wd 4.3/4l60e truck, let the fun begin! Don't plan on making this one too fast just want it to sound nasty! I will be getting a 4.8l out of my buddies RS-T with 70k on it, wanting to do cam and heads on it before it goes in, also got lucky and picked up a set of PS long tubes out of a NNBS traded in at work that they wanted back to stock! Hope they fit the NBS, we'll see? Just slowly grabbing parts, i still have a lot of stuff in storage that i need to go dig through. Truck was in pretty good shape for 217k lol, interior is almost perfect, it is going to need front/rear bumpers and a LH bed side though.

Some updates:
new brakes all the way around, truck was from Louisiana and had a lot of surface rust on the rotors, had to replace the rear calipers, RR was metal to metal and the slide pins were seized in to the brackets..

Axle seals were leaking so i went ahead and took care of that while i was there, found two bad G80's and was able to build one good one out of the two lol, slid that in, rear end looked great and had new gear oil in it!

Also grabbed these off of a core motor before they took it, they will come in handy for the v8 swap!:

Need to find v8 frame brackets for the motor mounts and a 2000 v8/auto harness next!

I know right, it was my bosses old hood, his wife hit a deer the other night so they put a new bumper and rh fender on it, he had them toss on a new hood because of the light hail damage, i'll have it PDR'd later.

Gonna get the front bumper brackets bent back in to shape and get a front bumper back on it next and then go find me a good lh bed side.
