I'll be honest, I'm not a huge ford guy but I can't get enough of this build set. You did a great job putting the new dash in eco 1.

You must love pain. lol

I'd consider myself a bit of a lunatic when it comes to detail, but fitting that dash in that truck would just send me over the edge. So good on ya man........killin it.

As far as the Ford eco-boost thing goes, can I get a little education. I absolutely hate late model ford trucks.....but this has me a little curious. What exactly is the eco-boost engine? #of cylinders, cubic inches, turbos, rated hp........that sort of thing?

V-6 213 cu in
Twin Turbo's, Direct Injection
Rated 365 hp & 420 TQ

A typical one will make 300 WHP

10.0 to 1 compression '17 & up are 10.5 comp

Trucks come with a 6 spd auto trans that will handle approx 800 TQ

Have excellent blocks and a steel crank. Pistons are the weak link over 450 WHP & non proper tune or too much boost.

213 Cu In Versions have made 1000 hp. Lots of power per cu in

Complete engine weighs around 400 lbs.

My 2nd Eco swap should make 475 WHP 550 WTQ and weigh around 3700 lbs

I picked up a complete F150 that started and only 3250.00 with 6400 miles on it wrecked in back. A very cheap way for late model drivetrain on a very limited budget.

I am building a 550 cu in BB ford too. Street build should make 1000+ HP @ Tire

Today was Test Drive Day with Eco 1! Took to the Phoenix Metro Freeway System for a total of 215 Miles. I did find 24+ MPG @ 75 MPH

Uploading a couple video's now.

A few pics taken DownTown Phoenix.

Thanks! Will do.

This truck Eco 1 has taken me 4 1/2 yrs to this point. So now its time to just drive it for a while prior to tearing it down for paint.

So until Eco 2 Is on the road this will be my daily driver. Unless it rains of course. That would make a mess of the not protected bare metal. . LOL

Absolute part throttle video 1st thru 3rd. Even tho its limited to 19 lb of boost it will make full boost before 2000 rpm. Might have to tone down the bottom end torque a bit. It will start making boost by 1000 rpm with just slight throttle opening. Not quite what one would expect from only 213 cu in. Eco 2 will have an extra 100 hp for starters.

Man that's a lot of work but they are turning out awsom. I'm doing a similer thing a '78 ex-cab. Found a short box for it. Ended up swapping all the body stuff over to a 20000 Chevy frame and kept the 5.3/4l60. Also sealed the firewall so the ac and pedals all bolt right in. Droped the body down as far as I could do the 35" tires fill the wheel openings the way I like. Also added the leather seats and center council out of the Chevy. Now I'm doing the body work and priming. Tons of work but bad *** when there finished. Nice to know some one else like that sort of thing. Good work man
