Why not notch the frame a bit, and fill it in with plate?

****...Henry told me you were playing with a T6 flange but jebus!!!
I got a good book for you when I get home about building turbo manifolds...hopefully I'll get there in time to give it to you before it's too late! (you and henry will have to share)

Also, having ridden in my truck, you'll remember when my power actually kicked in (the so called "boost-threshold" or "tip-in"). Which is why my truck feels like it's always on Nitrous past a certain point.
You can manipulate the "tip-in" to some extent with cams, tuning, etc... but IMO I don't think you'll have much problem with lag but your gonna have to sacrifice where you'll see the "boost-threshold" kick in.
