Default My 71' Turbo ChevII

Had to name this truck SilvyChev II, as my first build truck (Orange 90' C1500) is dubbed " The Chev".

Dyno results page 7

I picked my SilvyChevII up from a guy in Maryland for $2900. Plans are to make a really fun street/strip truck. Turbo LQ4 with a muncie M22 4spd. This is my second turbo build. Any input/opinions are welcome.

Went and bought another 2005 LQ4 6.0L from the junkyard with 150K. (2005 year so it would have the better rods) Cleaned it all up. Swapped in a Isky 218 cam from Stock48 and found a really good deal on a used victor jr with an aluminum elbow. Bought a set of 85lb injectors. Heads were Hand ported by me just on the intake runners and did a valve job. Everything else is untouched (stock bottom ender)

Tranny was build by a local guy here in CT. Its a Muncie/Autogear M22 2.56 first gear. Should handle about 800hp with all the goods. Plus my custom powder coated bellhousing gives it some character.

Clutch/flywheel is from Mecleod RXT twin disk, should handle the abuse.
Bought a S400-75mm turbo with a T-6 1.10 housing.

Made some custom engine mounts and set the engine on the chassis. Started to mock up the turbo location and hot piping.

UPDATE#2: Stripped the interior, removed the factory fuel tank from behind the seat. I will be putting a plastic fuel tank under the bed. Prepped the interior for the closed cell foam sound proofing.

Fabricated and installed my transmission mount out of a 2"X2"X1/4" angle bolted to the frame rail. Most of these components will be removed and painted before final assembly.

Looks good, cant wait to see the finished product. I have had a 72 short box for years that is begging to get a turbo LQ4 in it. This might get me moving on it.
