Default My 427 Build (e.g. New and Improved BRT transformed into a C5!)

Long story short, here's what happened. At 15A fuse blew -- the one running my oil return pumps for the turbo and the motor starved. I haven't ripped into it yet, but as you can see here:

oil pan bolt...

...teh yechy smeared on my hand

...teh yechy smeared on my hand again

...the metal shavings on the bolt mag

things ain't so good. My oil pressure was around 20-22psi, so the garage got 'adjusted' and the truck got a new home:

I talked to various people, including Rex and the mods here. In a very nice way, Rex said "dude, you're f*cked." So...

...I prepped her for surgery

The good news is the turbos aren't slagged:

--they are just lonely (one is in Texas with Rick@Trick for finalizing my hot pipes)

Speaking of lonely, here's the part of my custom rear kit I will miss the most (read: the only part I don't hate at this point ):

Maybe I'll weld the DPs to this hehe.

Onward. Yesterday was a day of carnage for the truck:

that led to me having the world's fastest tool box:

I've got it mostly ready to come out. All that's left is the water, d/c the air compressor and ps pump, removing the tranny bolts, and removing the engine mounts.

Hopefully, it will be out on a stand by evening (I have to work tho..)

Plans are: LSX 427 short block, my heads, new cam, front mounted twins, and fun fun.

This WILL NOT be a 2 year thread

Good luck on the new build! TT 427 LSX sounds like it's gonna be a big monster! What kinda boost you looking to make out of it?
