Intense turn of events. Glad everything turned around for you. About the exhaust, I also fell victim of the dynomax bullet as well. I had one on my 4" exhaust off of my S480. To me it sounded horrible cruising around. I added a second dynomax bullet and it didn't change a thing. I cut them all out and welded in Borla's XR1 multicore p/n 400069 and it sounds amazing.

This thread makes me want a 07-13 truck so bad with the 6 speed. Motor, trans, and fuel system are all strong enough to throw on a power adder and make 500+ rwhp/tq. Nice build!

The lift is one of those things that make you think “why didn’t I do this years ago?!?

YES!
Its well known the 5.3 can make good power in stock form but the 6L80 is often thought to be a poor choice when making any power. I find that to be a false statement. In my old C6 - I had a ERL 416 with an ECS Blower kit putting down 810 to the wheels - all through the STOCK 6L80. It survived quite a few years in that fashion - before the fire devoured the car.

There's much more 6 speeds being swapped into 99-06 and older applications which are a HUGE improvement. I would love to get a RCSB in a 2012 or 13 model and add a blower or KB kit.. One day!

Default Fire Recovery Update

Oh Yeah - one other “update” in relationship to post fire.
As shown in my earlier post, my Hayabusa was lost in the fire. I was unsure on whether to get another bike (I rarely rode the Busa). But ... About 8 months back, my brother bought a 2017 RoadGlide

Special. Didn’t really excite me as I’ve never been into baggers. Over time, he added onto the stock stereo system. Installed some ape hangers and a 23” rim set up.
Well, I’m over to his house one day, working on a few items and just start to have a “different” view of the bike. That same week, on Saturday - he comes by my Houston the bike. It’s a beautiful day (suns out not a cloud in the sky) and he’s got the music blasting, pipes humming and I’m like “damn, that could be me!”
I walk in the house and tell “The Boss” I want a Harley. She doesn’t miss a beat and says “I wondered when that was coming.”
I get up the following Monday to go visit a few local
Harley dealerships. To shorten the story a bit - by 5:30 that evening, I was the owner of a 2019 RoadGlide Special 😀 ... Of course it’s in my color tree 😉
