When you get an air compressor spend the money for a good two stage one. The type that has the electric motor with a belt that connects to the actual air pump cylinder. They're a TON quieter and also last longer.

 

Ya I haven't looked into them to much yet but I planned to get some recomendations from guys on here that use them as to what is the best. Last thing I want is it to cut out half way through every job to build pressure back up.

Naw you dont need one that big for home use. The one like mine will keep up with any air tool we would use and it is alot cheaper. Mine is 3 years old and has not skipped a beat.

how easy is it to move that one on wheels around? Can two guys throw it in the back of a truck pretty easy if I want to use it somewhere else?

It's really easy to wheel around, and if I had to I could load it by myself. Wouldn't recommend it but I've done it a few times. I usually get my wife to help load it because its just an awkward shape and balance, not that its super heavy. It wouldn't be good for painting or anything but its fast enough it can keep up with my air ratchet yanking all the 10mm bolts off all the covers on a motor. That's the most continuous use it ever sees with me. I didn't want a giant one because I wanted to be able to use it elsewhere if need be and anything bigger than the one I've got runs off 220v. Mine has the option of switching. When I request my garage I'll be putting a 220 plug in so it'll run even better.

Helluva day...on my way to the shop to put my wheels on, I stopped to get gas and noticed oil dripping under my truck. Rear main seal was bad. So I hurry to the shop to start puttin the wheels on. What a nightmare. We ground so much. But they're on! And look badass



Got a new seal, pulled the tranny and pulled the rear cover off. Put the new seal in how it was labeled. Apparently it was labeled wrong :-(. I still have a leak and from what I'm reading it's because of the way we put it in. So now I get to pull the tranny back out and put another seal in.

But, truck looks badass and its running good. I'm happy. For now lol
