Yes, I have a separate fuel cell up front for my nitrous. Used to have c23 in it, it will now have e85. I'm assuming that's what you mean?

Nitrous is probably a little ways off. I want to get the motor tune dialed in real good before I hit it with any nitrous. Was hoping to do some more testing this weekend but it looks like its going to be pretty wet here.

I just need to finish paying Rich for the bogarts so I can get them. Can't wait for that

Thanks for the compliments. The truck is really a lot of fun. I can't thank everyone enough that has helped me get it where it is

Yes sir, thats exactly what i was talking about...
And i understand what you mean there, no need to jump the gun.. What will you be spraying when you do start? And youre going for a 9 sec street truck you can jump in and drive anywhere if i remember correctly?

So what are your impressions of the carb vs fuel injection? I say your posts about the track, just curious how DD is

I'll probably start small with around a 200shot and work my way up. The ultimate goal would be able to drive it to the track 2.5 hours away, run a 9.anything and then drive it back home. Time will tell if its a realistic goal or not

I don't dd the truck anymore. Haven't for a long time. Of course I did drive the truck a bunch this last weekend. Drove to the track and back home. It got about 10mpg. It is VERY rich at idle and cruising. I'm talking 11.5:1 at idle and 10.8:1 cruising where it should be around 12.8 and 13.7. Throw that on top of using more fuel because of the e85, I don't think it's too bad. I think with tuning the carb and getting a good timing map in the msd, 14-15mpg or more is doable. I love the crisp throttle response with carb over my previous drive by wire tb.

I like it mainly because I no longer have to worry about any stupid electrical problems to hinder my progression with the truck. The entire power train is manual. I've had electrical troubles with the truck since I bought it brand new. That's no longer an issue.

Just got to thinking. My previous best was with the 4L60e also. 60', 1/8th mile, 1/4 mile are all better now

CARB FTW lol

Right. It's around 11.9-12.2 WOT. First past was around 11.1. Changed jets and picked up .2 and 1mph

Weather was pretty crappy this weekend so I didn't get to go to the track and do more testing. It quit raining and warmed up enough to get the plate put on today.

My girlfriend puttin the carb back on

Also got an lm-2 wideband and did just a little idle tuning today.

Well, made a slight change for this year. I have decided to use Nitrous Express for my nitrous needs. Their plates seem to have really good distribution for the small block ford intakes, which are very similar to our victor jr intakes.

They have provided me their Trinity Pro Power plate and solenoids with jetting from 100-500 horsepower. I also purchased two of their 10# bottles with their sweet Lightning 45* valve. The bottle itself is almost 1# lighter than my old NOS bottles.

I like the packaging of the plate on the motor. Will be a clean setup once I have time to finish up the wiring. I was in a rush to make a race Friday evening and had just enough time to make the connections then head to the track.

Also added a fuel pressure gauge for my nitrous system to be sure the pump is on and working and also because I was curious how much the pressure was creeping while staging

And here's me, juice, and red truck waiting in line for the 12.00 class at the PSRA event at Thunder Valley Friday night
