so your saying that nothing was really sticking out at them when they took it apart! hope it holds together... has the 4l80e been pushed this far yet? i guess im wondering how much these things will really hold!

I talked to Vince the other day and he said the intermediate clutch was toast.
No clue on what made it give though..

Parish was over 1000 RWHP and drove his truck a lot harder than I will drive mine. He had NO problems in the two plus years he had his built 80 in it. I am 1300lbs heavier.

I don't think he really has to worry about being at the point of killing the 4L80E from too much power yet. Like we had discussed before it was likely just a part failure. As most of us on here know, even the best most expensive parts can fail.

 

Tranny is on the way back. will be in Calif on Wed and back in the truck by Friday Morning.
