I usually order through newgmparts, but they take forever as well. The only really important thing I need is the MAP retainer thing, dont need it blowing out of the intake first time I go into boost

I am sure there was some wrong with the converter. It was a 2600(I think) for his truck, I am sure it is might lighter and less power? Your heavier truck and higher power? would make it stall much higher.
Again like you said it is done and over with just trying to get to the bottom of it so that others don't get scared of a small stall thinking it is crazy. A 3000 and lower stall should feel just like stock under normal throttle.

gmpartsonline.net is a great place to order from. They have comparable SHIPPED prices as gmpartsdirect. Their prices are a little higher on some parts but their shipping is nowhere near as high as gmpartsdirect. They also have a phone number so you can actually call and talk to someone on the phone.

Checked required pushrod length tonight and got a base measurement of 7.35 and with the 7.425s I have now I will have acceptable lifter preload of .075, so Im all set there. LME forgot to include the oil pump, but Brian is going to 2nd day it out to me so I should have it fairly quickly.

Trans shipped out yesterday so it should be here Monday or Tuesday of next week. I am going to finish my return-style bucket today, and maybe start longblock assembly.
