I finished my 4l80e swap over the weekend and now my truck runs like dog ****. I haven't done the segment swap yet because I don't have hptuners. My truck is supposed to go to the tuner for the swap and tune on Sunday.

It idles terribly and dies.

I used a speartech swap harness (4l60 to 4l80e).

Is this normal to happen before the segment swap?


The truck wasn't running "great" before the swap. But it would idle all day without hesitation. Any help is appreciated.

also, I did nothing to the motor whatsoever. The only thing i did do was install the pins into the pcm for the 2nd VSS.

Does it only rev up to 1500 RPM? Possible abuse mode or failsafe if it thinks the tranny is screwed up after the swap.

it will Rev past 1500 but it takes it awhile to get there.

Turned out to be a bad map sensor the whole time.. I'm stupid
