I think Virginia Speed is somewhere in Virginia (seems logical) and they do a lot of LS stuff...

well i got my ecm back from texas speed today with their tune on it and it started right up, can't make it stall and it runs perfect! IT WORKS! After 7 months of messing with every possible thing, the truck is ready for me to just drive and man it feels good! I don't know what was off in the tune, but re-tuning by tsp solved it.

ok well the suburban has been driving pretty well since i had Texas Speed put the original tune back on, but there's still a bit left i think i can get out of it with some more custom tuning.

I've been a bit spooked about tuning after all the grief dealing with going back and forth to the local tuner several times and not being able to figure out what was wrong with his tune, then having to send my computer back and forth overnight ($$$$) to get the original tune back on there, so this time I decided i'd give black bear auto cal a shot.

I figure this way i can keep the current tune backed up for if i ever need it, i can do all the logging on my own time, and emailing tunes back and forth sounds a lot nicer than driving hours in a truck that's not running right just to be told it's not the tune...
So, I ordered an auto cal, did my initial logs and uploaded the current tune. I'm waiting to hear back from blackbear but i am hoping this turns out to be the final answer. I can hopefully get the truck dialed in perfectly, but still have the peace of mind of having this current tune that i know for a fact is at least driveable, tucked away ready to re-flash if anything ever gets screwy with the tuning again. Now to wait patiently to hear back from blackbear....

oh yeah i also installed an 05+ electric fan package from the chevy truck guys in maine, so once black bear sends me my new tune with the fans turned on i am interested to see how they compare to my current/former clutch fan.

that's it for updates, now back to waiting...

sweet build man
black bear tunes my truck and has always done a great job.
I would never buy another fast LSXrt intake, ever since I put mine on it was nothing but problem after problem. truck would fire up and die. I tried everything to seal it up and just couldn't get it to idle. exact same tune and everything I put my holley on and boom truck runs amazing. fast is just over priced garbage IMO.
