Check around the intake gaskets for leaks.

well i swapped it out for a new lsxrt intake, didn't fix it. still same symptoms where right when i start it it dies immediately unless i hold the throttle up for 30 seconds or so

one more thing, if i disconnect the pcv line so there's a massive vacuum leak it start and idles perfectly

now we put a nnbs intake manifold on it and STILL STALLING on cold starts!

sent computer back to Texas speed to put a base tune back on in case somewhere the tune got screwy somehow. Aside from that i don't know where to go with this. valves? anything else? We have changed every single part and sensor on top of the engine, o2 sensors, map sensor, maf sensor, iac, tps, everything and it still stalls. we will see when they send it back

Sounds like it needs more idle airflow. Does your TB have a idle air adjustment screw?

it does have the set screw but it either dies or idles WAY high, there's no in between. We even drilled the throttle blade but again, stepping up tiny increments it either has no effect or just jumps up to idle at like 2000rpms or higher.

when i start and keep on the throttle enough to keep it running, it surges real bad like 500-1000 rpms up then drops down then back up and back down.

Yep, needs IAC tuning. The wire driven TBs are much easier to tune in my opinion.
