Man, really you need to get the truck together to figure out if that yolk is gonna work. I'm gonna say it is too long. There are at lease 3 different length yolks for a th400 style output shaft (same as 4l80e I believe). Once you get the truck together you need to make sure that you have enough pull out with the driveshaft bolted in, other wise you will be destroying thrust bearings in the motor on the regular.

Well...today at work i was checking out atomic hydro boost swap and decided i was gonna do mine. I ordered the hydro booster from lkq for 35 bucks! When i got home i pulled the vacuum booster and the brake pedal. It took maybe 15 mins! Hopefully the swap goes that smooth. I also got the frame mounts put in and torqued, so I'm ready to drop the motor and trans in. Maybe tomorrow then ill be able to check the driveshaft and yoke

The little bit of reading on the swap I did everyone is saying the stopping power is unmatched. It seems more boost can be made with the hydroboost than normal vacuum boost and being that I don't have a transbrake it was worth a shot. And it was a cheap mod so screw it

On a build like this w/o transbrake you definitely need hydroboost.

That being said, being 2wd i think you will regret not having a transbrake.

Gunna try without a trans brake first. Trans builder said no problem to add one later. If i can't get what I want out of the hydroboost I'll be getting the jakes d3 brake
