Some of you guys may know me from other forums, but decided to start one here. Have been watching for a while now, just never made an account.
The truck is a 2008 Silverado ecsb. 5.3/60e, 3.42s blah blah. It was an old mans truck when I got it. I purchased it off my father just before he passed.. This truck has been in my family since new so its good to know what has been done to it.
I bought the truck in 2016, kept it pretty much stock up until end of 2017 when a afm lifter collapsed. So,

February 2018 - just after dod delete
tru-cool 40k with atomic brackets
Truck stayed stock, painted a few parts.. tailgate handle, sharkfin, etc
Blew a fuel line in the beginning of 2019, so bed came off, new line, fuel pump and painted the frame.
Then I decided I wanted to change the truck up. Got myself a really clean set of oem texas 20's that look like they were never on a truck. Nitto NT420V's belltech 3/5 drop.
Again, nothing changed for a while. This is really how it sat up until 2 months ago.
Decided I wanted to go a little lower, so 4/6. New uppers, lower ball joints, tie rod ends. I also got an 4l80e
That's where I stand today. I bought the 4l80e for boost. Originally I was just going to put it straight in the truck how it sat. It came out of a low 100k 2004 2500 Silverado that went into a tree, so it sat in a garage for a bit but the more and more I tore into it, the more I noticed water/moisture got into it. So it will be getting a fresh rebuild. However overall it does look very nice
So from here I do plan on boosting the truck come this summer. I already have a plan worked out in my head but stop me at any point if you have any pointers, this will be my first turbo build, as well as trans build.
Hotside I want to go kb/trick. Any advantage towards one another? Coldside I will be fabbing myself, I am a machinist and can weld so I can handle all that.
VS next gen 7875, 44mm VS wastegate, 50mm VS bov.. essentially a sloppy kit. deka 80lbs, etc.
Leaving the stock ly5 alone except for all new bearings and gapping the rings - anyone have a preference? I'm looking for around 10-13 psi.
Stock 243's. 9.9:1 with the factory head gaskets. - leave alone?
Been getting mixed answers on fuel.. Some say you can run a 450 in the factory bucket and others say you run out of fuel.. any recommendations?
That color on the turbo is super clean. Good lookin install. How was the install on the Huron kit?
Prismatic illusion rootbeer. I shot it light so its much lighter than the website. Huron kit was real simple. Fit nice. Only tight spot was the crossover

nice looking truck with a lot of nice attention to detail
Will get some pics up when I mount it. However it'll just be tee'd into the factory line with a dsx fitting running into a hobbs.

I was actually wondering why I got a offset bracket 3 years ago when I did it. Didn't think much of it
At the time the thinking was the offset one could use the factory lines wheres the centered one had to extend one of them, but to simplify things I just started selling the centered one since most people prefered that or were doing new lines anyway.

Interesting... I was having issues with the power steering and I wanted to use a larger cooler. I was also going to look into putting a 40K cooler on but wasn't sure I could make it all fit. That offset bracket might be the way...
