Easy button for sure! However, I will have to make some templates with voids to go around the assembly plugs on the rear corners. I also have quite a bit of 3/16 plate to use up. Depending on how intricate my new 3rd link bracket ends up, I may use SCS for those though. I don't have a torch, plasma nor big band saw so anything other than straight lines is a chore with the 4" grinder.

Right on. I was curious. Obviously, you don't want that tearing out should something happen.

Had my first event with the new seats and harness at the Pro-Touring Truck Shootout at Beech Bend Raceway last weekend. I like the extra containment, however due to environmental conditions and truck issues, I was not able to push hard G's for a really good feel. Friday was cold and rainy so very poor track conditions coupled with done tires makes for some slippery runs. I went one-n-done in the shootout Saturday so didn't get much seat time in the nice weather.

I have also been working on a new rear suspension design. Hopefully next event will be on new suspension and tires. Looking forward to some extra grip.

Just a preview of the suspension mapping. Converting the wishbone to an adjustable offset 3-link will provide better IC positioning (ie anti-squat/grip) and a much lower rear roll center with the panhard bar providing more lateral weight transfer and grip and reducing rear oversteer.

I got the 3-link conversion done just before going to LSFestTX a few weeks ago along with a new set of Falken 660+ tires. The truck seemed to turn in better (more tires than suspension?) but the big improvement was in corner exit. I will take more power coming out of a turn and also seems to hold sweepers better at speed. Straight line acceleration from a stop didn't seem much different when testing with the old Goodyears considering the IC was moved quite a bit rearward and AS raised to 99%. This is where the 660+ improved instantly, even more once scrubbed in. I can't wait to get more seat time to get confident in the new setup then start making adjustments to see what changes.

After a few more events, the new rear suspension is working well. Went to a local SCCA event and took 1st in CAM-T. At LSFest East the truck did really well despite rain one day and managed 8th out of 42 overall in the truck class. Straight line traction from a dig is still a bit lacking but worlds better than it was. The big difference is in rear corner grip, especially on exit. Before when pushed to the limit, it would snap oversteer. Now, when it starts to step out, I can throttle steer and recover it without getting out of shape.

A few action shots from LS Fest...

With the truck doing as well as it has, I was really excited for C10 Nationals in Nashville last weekend being it is usually a fast flowing course. This year didn't disappoint as it added a back and forth technical u-turn at the start and the finish was ~1/8mile stretch on the oval at turn 4. Unfortunately, I think the 14deg transition to the oval was a bit much and cracked the frame between the new panhard mount and the rear crossmember. So I only got four runs then spectated and did ride-alongs the rest of the weekend.

Went back through your recent updates. It's really cool to see the Out-Pace rods in your 3-link setup. I’ve only ever seen those used in dirt track cars, so it’s awesome to see them getting put to work here. Sorry about the frame cracking. Hopefully, you get it patched up and back on the track soon.

I was considering making my own links but while browsing Summit for rod ends and threaded bungs, the Out-Pace bars were on clearance in the right length and were cheaper than buying the components and having to build them. Win-Win!

Looks like it’s time for a tubular frame

That's awesome that you got them from us, and by the sounds of it, at a great price. Thank you for your business!
