Alright so I found a truck on craigslist being parted out. Went and met the guy, he had about 6-7 gmt800's in various states of parting out in his yard. Pick up a door, the center console, and required dash trim, for 300 bucks. Kinda feel like I over payed but he wouldn't budge on price.

So I was feeling a little grumpy, until he slid the barn door open and this was staring me in the face....

That's black4.8's old truck I believe. What are the chances a truck from PT.net, from ohio, ends up tucked away in a barn 30 mins from me in SC??
Anyways he doesn't have a cell phone or computer, just an iPad, but I plan on getting him on the forum. He also has an alcohol dragster c10 thats runs 4.5 in the 1/8

HaHa! I think you did good.
In my area a console is usually $250 all day long. A rear door with glass is any where from $100-$250 Depending on shape and who's selling. Average is about $150 usually.

Alright so I guess 300 for everything isn't too shabby, I feel better now.

So I got the new door on. Looks good, needs a wash and wax, on thing sucks though.. it's missing my pin stripe... So I need opinions here, is it easier to find pin striping to match (mines stick on) or should I remove all the pin striping from truck? The thing I am hesitant about is how hard it will be to peel off the stripe and if it'll leave behind a mark...
Also the new doors window isn't tinted and the latch isn't as firm feeling as my old one... how hard is it to swap in my old window? by the looks of it the windows are glued in and it seems pretty heavy duty...
Advice is appreciated, thanks guys

If you like the Stripe's keep them. Pinstripes are easy to find and not difficult to apply.
Other wise there not difficult to remove with the right tools. They sell a rubber eraser wheel that will take them off. Other wise find a detailer and let them do it.
Now The window... Find a tint shop as it will be much cheaper. They should be able to match the tint fairly close. Other wise find a good glass company at they will have to remove the urethane adhesive by cutting it out. They might damage the paint during this process so you really have to ask if its worth it...
