Ok guys this is a thread to get you caught up to where we are on this truck. Its a 2009 Chevy colorado ZQ8 came with a 5.3 (799 heads, Alum LH8) 4l60e combo, this is my buddies truck that we have been building over the last few months. When we first started he didn't know much about engines of what he had, so I toke the opportunity to teach him everything I have learned myself. All work is done by me and the owner. So to start off the first mod we did was a Volant CAI. The second mod we did to the 49,000 mile engine was a TSP 220r cam which was a breeze to install and everything looked absolutely immaculate inside the engine. Then we sent the computer up to Baker engineering to get a base tune for the cam. Then followed were a set of Doug thorley Y pipe long tubes with a custom true dual exhaust with cutouts and magnaflow mufflers part number 10416. Engine wise that brings us to where we are now, Yesterday we drove 5.5 hours to Texas Speed and Performance in Lubbock Texas to get the truck dyno tuned and see what it's making to the tires. The truck laid down 332 to the tires and with a 15% drive train loss calculated in we are looking at about 390 to the crank. The transmission is a stock 4l60e with vette servos and a stock stall. Rear gears are 3.42's with a stock LSD.
