So I have been dealing with a bit of an issue and wonder if anyone has any thoughts?

If I get on it hard from a dig or a slow (20mph) roll the truck will go hard for a few seconds, build boost then it goes lean (13.4+/-) and break up. It doesn't do this from a high roll (60). From a high roll it will dig down and build boost like normal with a flat 11.0 AFR regardless of if I roll on it slowly or go full throttle.

Another thing I noticed is it stumbles a little on decel to stop signs, etc. The other day it actually died in the middle of a slow turn onto my street.

I am going to change plugs to start, but wondered if this is something anyone else has dealt with?

I did a plug change about a week back and put some new fuel in it and one of the two solved the issue.

Drove the truck a bit, still wanting to crank up the boost a bit. I did run into an issue again last night after driving the truck home, I parked for 20 minutes went to leave again and it won't start. Good voltage, cranks all day long, but won't start. I anticipate somethign basic and will look it over tonight.

I also saw the release of the ON3 7875 turbo and am considering upgrading to that since it should be a direct swap. Just debating how big the gains would be.

Well a long time ago I upgraded my primary pump to a Racetronix 340 as well. Solved all my issues.

Buttoned up tuning almost all the way last night. So I figured I would post a video. 35mph roll on 18psi peak.

Well....

We had an event this weekend and I went out to get an 11.99x as my goal. It didn't end well.

I made a total of 7 passes gradually getting faster until I ran a 12.01. At this point the track had gone and my 60' was down almost two tenths. (20" Street Tires)

My final and quickest full pass was:

60' - 2.193
330' - 5.386
1/8 - 7.961 @ 95.77mph
1/4 - 12.017 @ 122.17mph

My best 60' of the night was a couple hours earlier at 2.039. If I could have combined the two, I obviously would have been good.

On the last pass the engine let go right at the end of the track. Smoke everywhere and I lost power. Before I towed it home a quick look shows a hole in the block and I took some pieces of piston out of the hole.

I am going to start tearing it down this week and I have a 4.8L I picked up, but I am done for the season and am going to change some things for next year.

I check my tune log and don't see any tuning reasons why it went. However I was at 20psi (Greedy) and I assume that was all it took. AFR was 11.3 the whole run, ECTs are good, IATs were good, no knock until the engine went.

I tore down the front of the truck and some other stuff today. I should have some carnage pics in the next day or two.

Got the engine torn down all the way this weekend. I would certainly classify the results as catastrophic. Turns out I destroyed two rods and pistons. Destroyed the crank and about everything I could have. Damaged the heads, dinged up the cam, etc. There were pieces of piston EVERYWHERE. One piston was in a few pieces the other is in literally hundreds. I even managed to destroy my oil pan.

Here is the hole in the block:

Cylinder that had no piston pieces in it:

Connecting Rods:

Piston that wasn't in a billion pieces:

Broken windage tray, also notice the pieces in the oil pickup:

Broken oil pan (Also broken on the flange):

Driver's side cylinder head:
