I dunno either...spoke to Brian this am about it too. 4L80 is part of it, and maybe the cam is the rest (?) (214/218, .559/.562 @ 114 LC). I finally have a tuner with experience and I think I can trust. thot maybe compression cud be another issue and I'm gonna check if its 9.4 or 9.0, but I can't see that making much diff. Apperently no leaks, oil press is good (even a little high), spark is good, maybe needs another in tank pump? maybe the 60# inj aren't enuf? ...either way, I'll take it and put some more miles on it and see if it doesn't loosen up. Any ideas u have are welcome. R/

man i just cought up on this thread. It sounds like you have ran into some of my luck. I have had my problems with the 408 i just had rebuilt in july. It now is going back to the machine shop to get rebuilt again. I am sure Rick will take care of you.

Julien, i also just got to get caught up on your situation. First let me say, i feel your pain and we all know what your going through. Thanks guys. When I called Rick last week I was planning on pulling the motor, tranny and turbo out and selling it off and sticking the stock stuff back in. Speaking with Rick and then meeting him convinced me to give this truck a second chance. It's not that I don't think it will work it's that I'm tired of paying to see if someone can do the job right.
I'm shipping out on tuesday night so I'll be gone and without internet for a month so. Hopfully I'll have something nice to come home too.

Soon as I get it back I plan to post a bunch more photos and updates. Hoping to hear by mid-week what the status is...man this is just painful. I'll tell ya I'm still thinkin of putting the stocker back together!!! This is costing me a fortune and I have no idea why I can't get the power levels I shud have...I gotta believe the cam is part of it. R/
