Default FA 97 Dodge 12v

I spent this afternoon working on the steering for this and figured, hey I should post the progress on my current project.
It started off as, "I want to have a better ride around the farm" then, "if we're going to do Kings and a 4 link why not go more baja style" and then, "if we're going this far, why not tube back half and better Kings" and so on and so on...
a perfectly good 12v, just detailed. Carli Suspension.

Started getting serious

Needed the space at work so I took the truck home.

Started the front 4 link but knew the steering was going to be a pain in the ***.

my internet is lagging, will finish posting tomorrow.

Getting a feel for the shock placement

Then decision, "if we're going this far, might as well plan for duals up front too"
I am only using the 2 coilovers for mock up. Will use a coilover and bypass.

Trying to leave as much room as I can for the twins.

Is it a triangulated 4 link up front, or parallel 4? In the pics I still see a steering box and linkage so I assume parallel?

Parallel. We changed plans on steering later.

I had 6 more pics ready to load and I hit back on accident. DAMMIT

Front diff getting a brace and boxed

My coworker MIG welded it up. He's making me look like a bad ***!

We couldn't get the stock steering to work while keeping the lower stance and 14" of travel. So we switched to a full hydraulic from Howe. Those guys have some great customer service!

Time to get it back under the truck and find out the steering bar I made ☝️☝️ didn't work like I hoped 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. Made a new one.
At full bump working on Panhard bar.

Ride height

Full drop

And that's basically where I'm at now. Need to finish up details so it can go the Jefferson State Diesel so they can fix all the stuff I took off and hope to do test run this Thanksgiving.
