if it was something more expensive I definitely would've tried, and if it didn't read properly...well whatever. but for the cost I figured why not and just ordered a new one.

Killer thread man. Haven't heard much from you on ig since you got the heads installed. Time to get her back on the rollers and see what you've gained!

I haven't had anything to post lately!
we've been having like -30C weather, and ice and snow all over the roads so the truck is just waiting to go out
I'm hoping to get on the rollers in march, april by the latest!

bit of a waste of money, but I had tracked down some mirror covers, but when they showed up I wasn't pleased with the condition so I didn't install them. then today I found a brand new set and went and grabbed them. so I figure i'll just sell the others for what they cost me. it's way to cold out right now to install them.
here's a pic of the ones I'm gonna end up listing

That's definitely a nice upgrade. It seems simple but it really dresses it up.

I'm looking forward to putting them on. I'm guessing its a pretty fragile plastic so I better make sure its warm before trying to install them

are most people using a butter knife to pop the old one out? or would a thin scraper work best?

Anything real thin, those bottom tabs break off super easy. Loving the progress so far man.

bottom tabs on the mirror cover or the ones on the mirror housing?
cause if I break a tab on the old cover coming off I could care less cause its going in the garbage after
looking at the new cover..looks like I have to slide it outwards cause there's the two "hooks" at the top

I just used a butter knife on mine (no sharp edges) and it popped right out. I had some help on the other side from a "keep left" sign lol.
