The tabs on the cap. You have to "lift" them and the cap slides out.

I just took mine off, it may not be the best way but it works. I stand directly in front of the mirror and grab each side and pull towards me and up. Haven't broken a tab, yet...

oh so if your pulling it off by hand it must not be on there to tight, that'll be a good judge for how much effort. cause sometimes if I find myself using force...I think am I doing it wrong and is it gonna break

While I had my y-pipe out to do the trans pan, I gave it a good coat of VHT 2000* exhaust paint, it dries matte black.

remember when replacing your filter to always replace that "seal" that pops into the valve body, don't use a pick to pull it out. I used a pry bar, and worked the edges folding them over and then a pair of pliers to grip and pull. use an extension and a 22mm to drive the new one in

new PML Low Profile pan installed.
the dimensions are almost the same as OE, sits about 3/4" lower in total and holds about .4L more.
took me 6.4L to get back to operating range after the pan and filter swap

I haven't had much time to do much of anything on the truck, its been about -30C here so my truck hasn't even moved since I did the trans pan.
for a personal update, I wrote my journeymen exam and red seal exam this week (for automotive service technician) but I wont have marks back for about 2 weeks
the wife decided to move out, so I'm separated now and the bonus to that...more truck money AND the truck gets a spot in the garage where it belongs
