I realize the truck intake flows fine, but I found a pretty good deal on a TBSS intake. So I’m gonna do the swap. I want to use aftermarket -8 fuel rails. For the guys that’s messed with this, which injector would fit

Been awhile since an update.
Build has took took a few turns over the last while. I Had 70% of the parts to go turbo, sold most of it and then bought a s10 blazer to drag race with. A lot of this and that, tossing ideas back and forth and ended up deciding to sell the blazer and continue this truck build.
Driving the other day I noticed truck was runnin little hot, so I stopped. Pink fluid was pouring out of the coolant reservoir. The factory trans cooler ruptured inside the radiator, filing the trans with coolant and the block with trans fluid. Big huge mess. Flushed everything multiple times and had the tranny rebuilt with better clutches, also an HD2 kit. Installed new radiator and tru cool 40k cooler.
So For now I’m going to do a ported 706 head swap hoping to bump the CR some and still safely run pump gas , Tbss swap-90mm ls7 TB with the x-link, a Wally 255 (return less) , 36 lb injectors, and a 150 wet shot. I’m also going to delete the Evap system while Doing all this. Have all the parts so shouldn’t take too long.
Pulled the TBI 350 and th350. Planned a carb 5.3 nitrous setup
Trans fluid don’t need to look like over the counter nausea meds

Don’t know how much compression you are looking for but you can put a set of stock 243 heads 64cc on a lq9 and the compression will be right at 10.9 stock ls2 came with this from factory and the lq9 you have is the same thing except iron block and 317 heads.you could also have the 317’s milled they are 70cc but othwise the same head as 243. In my opinion both of these heads are better all around than the 706.the square port heads (l92,ls3) heads can be bought for about the same as above nowadays they are definitely the best flowing

I’ve done a good bit of reading and research, and talked to some pretty keen ls minds. There’s an article by super Chevy. Surprising HP Numbers From Our Stock LS Cylinder Head Test They do a test of pretty much all stock heads and the 706 head outperforms the 799/243, 317s, etc etc. in different situations Where it would be thebroute to go. If I’m doin the math right, with the 706’s smaller 61.5 chamber, the lq9 flat tops, and an Ls9 gasket I should be around mid to low 11 CR.
