I am really confused that this stall is much more tame behind the 6.0 then it was behind It is a good bit more snappy when I punch it, but light throttle it is nearly stock. Behind the 5.3 it was a bit more rev happy light throttle and not as snappy when punching it.

Can someone explain that? I need to confirm but I think they both have the same axle ratio. The Denali has a 65 vs the 60 in the hoe.
Lot's going on but anyone have any in site on why the converter is behaving so differently? I anticipated as loose or looser with the 6.0 power and torque. But it has tightened up quite a bit. But as expected got more snappy with heavy throttle.

Are the gears and tire height the same? When i switched from 4.10s to 3.42s my converter loosened up some.

The 65 has the same gearing as a 60 correct. It is just the 5 gear vs. 4 gear in side right?

I think they both have 3.73 from what I am being told. I keeping meaning to check the Denali 's glove box.

Tahoe tires are 1 or 2" shorter so if gears are same that should "loosen" the converter in the denali

The 6.0 is making more torque sooner so the converter will feel tighter.

Most of the Denali's have 4.10 gears. Add the shorter tires to that..... Converter will act way different.

60-65e is the same gearing, 65e has 5 pinion planets vs 4 in the 60e.

Thought tha would loosen a converter. THat is what threw me off.

Just as nitrous raises a stall speed by approximately 500 rpm. So NA power and torque should do the same thing right?

I thought the Denali had 3.73's in them outside of the quadrasteer and crew cab pick ups.

It shouldn't feel any tighter or looser because of the 6.0 under light throttle, where it will seem looser is when you stomp on it and the added tq stretches it out further.

Do you still have the stock exhaust on it currently? Maybe it seems tighter because its quieter?

Slight possibility there. But rpms seem to stay lower, but he sound might be the answer.

Is there any way to talk you out of this? This is going to be a terrible setup.
