Default CS-144 to 200a AD-244 swap on L31 5.7

So I picked up a new 200a AD-244 alternator from Napa to replace my 140a CS-144 in the 97 Express. I picked up the oval shape regulator connector for a CS-130/AD-244 as my CS-144 connector is rectangular. I have already performed the big 3 upgrade when my factory two piece battery cable failed due to corrosion between the connectors. I have 2 gauge wire running between the battery and alternator and have a large GM fuse junction block in the middle that feeds both my electric cooling fans and fuse box feed. I plan to add a remote sensing wire to the auxiliary terminal on the fuse block. The CS-144 is only charging 12vdc to the battery when the E-Fans (40 amps) and front and rear A/C blower fans are on high speeds and drops even lower when the headlights are on. I have the regulator pinout charts for both alternators. The battery is a Duralast Platinum AGM 34 series and really does not like the low voltage. I've had it partially discharge a couple of times lately that resulted in a weak start.

Have I overlooked anything?

As I get started I will post some pictures start to finish.

Finished it a couple of hours ago and took it for a drive....Its actually running better than before. I guess my lower than normal fuel pressure has corrected itself. Amazing what proper voltage will do. I went and picked up food and sat in the freezing cold a/c while I ate dinner. The voltage tapers down from about 14.5 down to 13.2 at hot idle. I had a suprise I found while installing this alternator. Will have a writeup finished soon.

Discovered something during teardown. The grey connector is actually a factory conversion harness for a CS-130 to CS-144. MY Express harness was already setup for a CS-130 from the factory.

I loosened the alternator bracket from the head to allow clearance to remove the CS-144s rear brace. After fighting the sliding bushings on the mount and hooking up the charging wire it slipped into place and bolted right up.

I took the opportunity to slip a new stock belt on it and tossed the old one in a small box I have under my back seat. Never hurts to have a spare in the middle of nowhere USA.

After the cooling fans tripped to high speed I measured the voltage getting to the battery.

Boxed up and kept my old CS-144 alternator and unused mounting parts.

Found this little test slip in the paperwork.

On a side note the engine is running better than ever and my 4 Hi headlights are brighter than they have been in years even before the E-fans.

I ran and picked up food and noticed the a/c blows hard and ice cold even at idle.

I have this nice new $25.00 connector I can return to Napa.

If you mean swapped from CS-144 to AD-244, then yes. Otherwise I am confused at your question.
