If you look at the picture there appears to be some slag from a torch behind the bracket, I am guessing there is a hole cut for the bolt... I really hope not but that is what it appears.

yes and yes. One question, was any of this stuff ever painted after being welded or just left exposed to rust to match the rest of the frame. Also, in the first pic of the spring mount, is that a crack in the frame or black marker, looks like marker but this monitor at work isnt the clearest.

The springs are long gone and the brackets were bolted in a week or so after the welding. It was horrid due to not taking the bed off and not have very good angle. I also didn't do any of that welding because I hadn't welded before. My friend who did it, can weld OK but the lack of room made it difficult. The welds were terrible and it was fixed. I knew it when we were done and the truck wasn't driven but a few miles with the crappy welds. They had 4, 9/16th bolts. I would move the front hangers up again before I would ever buy hangers. I would skip welding because you should never weld suspension brackets because the vibration, and shock will break the welds weather they are good or bad.

Again the pics are "work in progress" of the heads. They are not done and they are only roughly opened up. This is the **** I am talking about. Ignorant morons talking **** without offering the hole story.

The truck is sitting in the corner of the shop right now waiting for me to finish the motor. I got my snaps for the bed cover and with taxes taking car of any extra bills I will have some extra money. Over the next 2-3 months I can wrap up many of the other loose ends.
