I won't use pensoil but i will eventualy switch to synthetic. Probably tomorrow so it is done before my long trip.

Were you talking about the link? It had nothing to do with engine oil. Syn engine oil won't really net you mileage, but longer intervals are cheaper even with the higher price

I didn't read the whole article.

Sounds like a bad idea to me.

Synthetic should help gain some mpg because it has been dyno proven to increas hp by a few percent. Now motor trans and rear end were done to gain, I think, it was 4% hp and that would make millage go up. Again just like exhaust or intake it is hp spent fighting friction or spinning weight that is now used to move the truck.

Well I am getting 9.5/11 mpg right now city/hwy on E85, so I need all the help I can get

TX why don't you switch to traditional fuel if you are wanting you help your millage? You will get noticably better on gas then E85. It seemes more then enough to make up for the higher cost.

I could be wrong but from what I have seen gas price times millage, is still better then E85 price times millage.
