buy bag mounts....weld to frame. buy lower bag mounts.....weld to rear end. its that easy as sure as **** safer then what you are thinking.

You are changing the properties of the steel to like its been said making it brittle. Yeah you could heat treat it but it wont be the same as steel purpose made for the part. I would scrap the idea and buy the parts and weld them on.

Lots of good advice being given here, in regards to properly installing those bags. I hope the OP is catching on.

There are some things that should be "done right" and suspension is one of them.

What about brakes and throttle bodies? How bout frames, are those important or can we cut massive holes in them and still be fine?
