Good to know. I just don't want to have to worry about sand or water; this truck sees more than its fair share of off-road play.

That doesn't look bad at all; just anodize the pipes black and get black fittings and it's good to go.

Yea, but the lost of boost isnt worth it IMO. it there was an issue with where it is procharger would have put it somewhere else. Im not worried about it sucking up "heat". it will be intercooled and eventually on a E85 mix.

Don't even consider an air inlet like that. You will not be fighting severe IAT temps. Convert that 3-core to a front mount when you have some spare time, and that will help too.

Yea, once I get everything here Im going to start looking for ways to run the intercooler up front. I dont think I will be able to fit it behind the grill and theres not much of an opening on the lower grill.

Not to thread jack but it's related.

Was thinking of mounting mine behind the grille. I know that would help with IAT's but is it worth upgrading to another style intercooler to mount behind the grille or would there not be that much of a difference?

Get your own thread!!!

lol,
I believe the NNBS trucks have alot more room behind the grill. You could try and see if your 3 core will fit behind the grill. if not get a new intercooler

I had my air to air mounted behind my lower grill and it worked great there.
