Building up my Tundra's 5.7
#25
Still on the stock TRD tune. Going to go with a Haltech once I can save up more cash and get it dialed in just right. Runs like a champ now though. She's got about 8-9lbs of boost. Hoping to do 14lbs and upgrade the fuel system to support it all within a year. She should be putting out over 600ish the way she is now.

Have you ever tried running the Doug thorleys? Have you anything to the transmission/drivetrain?
I haven't really looked into the aftermarket. Figured not much point without the tuning.

Going to update the clutch packs and get a shift kit sooner than later. The stock tranny is pretty strong, but sucks when it shifts. It lags too much. I'll add an oil cooler when I turn up the boost. The rearend and drive line are going to also get worked on later down the road. Just doing it in different order since the engine blew first.

Well, she's all done and on the streets. Feels solid. Pulls harder in the mid-upper range, and just as strong in the lower range than before. I will need to upgrade the fuel system and ECU later in the year, but for now she's done. I'll post more pics of it when I get home.
Anyone here have one of these truck with skinnies up front and slicks out back? Thanks.
