I used to have real good luck using freightquote.com back in the day shipping engines and transmissions but haven't used them in a good long while. Maybe it would be worth the phone call.

It has been a very rough last 18-24 months in my industry. So bad that near 85% of the people I've come to know over the last 10 years have moved on to something else. Will they be back when it picks up, I'd say maybe 25% of them.

I'm building a set of headers for the truck. Primaries will be 2.25" and either a 4" or 4.5" collector. I'm contemplating on where I want them to exit. I'm about 90% sure I don't want them under the truck the traditional way. It just makes the underside of the truck dirty. I'm always down for something different so 1 idea was to come up with them at an angle to exit out the top back corners of the hood. There is a turbo truck (I think from RGV) that has his done this way and I thought it was cool. Option 2 would be behind the front tire out the fender at the bottom (would require boxing the cab in for clearance), Option 3 would be in between opt 1 and opt 2 and exit higher out the fender. Then the last option would be to do a front swept header and exit it out the bumper.

Decisions decisions

I like the fender up high idea if there is room, but why not down and out behind the front tire under the cab?
