What was the error?

 

It was stupid.

I activated the NOS config to use the launch retard function. I guess when the NOS config is enabled, the tune automatically defaults to "disable closed loop".

Looks like baytown is closed friday. Might try to make it out to SAR.

 

Why would it matter if cloosed loop was disabled? It should be disabled anyway under any kind of boost right?

 

No, the holley has closed loop off-stoich fueling using a wideband sensor. Pretty sweet feature.

 

Yea that is a cool feature. Worth the price alone just for that feature when you are making any kind of power I'll have to step up to it sometime in the future when I get my 408 back in.

OP, how much boost are you going to run on friday?

 

I don't know what kind of boost it's gonna make. I think I'm getting into a real delicate range on this blower, where it's gonna act like a 2-stroke lol


At SAR I was spinning the blower 71.89% and it made about 17 psi.
I've bumped it up to 79.08%.

I'm hoping it's gonna be around 25 psi. Which, if everything works right should result in an amazing pass.

 

Good news and bad news.

Good: It makes 24 psi now, which is perfect. Converter finally looks like it's gonna be a player

Bad: Only got one pass and over powered the track.......bad

Heading to Evadale tomorrow with the Madman to get some decent hits.

Only bad news today. I seemed to have found the limits of sealing the heads. I've got a crazy video that is uploading now. Basically, we started noticing some water under the hood, so we zip tied a flashlight to the blower bracket and put the gopro on the inner fender facing the radiator cap. Ya'll are gonna **** when you see what happens. Trying to figure out what is gonna happen with the project at this point. Vid to come.
