Ya man really similar to an LS if it wasn't mds motor you could swap the cam without pulling heads on the early ones..

So I have been slacking on progress here.. Here is a pic of headers these were a real pain to install passenger side wasn't bad driver side took me the better part of a day.

Come to find out the spring kit I had purchased from comp needed more parts to get the correct install height. About .200

Deleted MDS, installed our custom grind cam, Milled the heads did a valve job and replaced a couple valves there was some pitting on the stems and had worn thru the hardening. Not sure why the truck is only about 30k miles. Reinstalled the heads using stock Mls head gaskets, and lifters from the earlier 6.1L and bolted the heads down with arp head bolts. Then bolted the blower on.

Then started reassembling the the front end and putting things on the front.

Tuner is gonna bump pressure 30% but is gonna leave torque management and safety features installed in tune.

Here's first start up clip this is the second revision of the tune so we have a long way to go. But what you guys think?
