Thats what I am doing on mine...5" intake tube and reusing my 6" filter with an adapter. My struggle is that my TB has an outer diameter of 4.125" or so, meaning a typical 4-5" adapter silicone piece wont fit. I have a 4.5" to 5" one but need to take up the slack in it somehow, probably cut up a piece of rubber or something.

I actually have all the stuff to do a 6" one right off the TB but it wont clear the fuel rail and stuff...

I bought 6in when i had a turbo. It looked freakish and slightly cartoonish so i returned it for the 5in.

I was wondering about what to use for the TB adapter as well.

Its a huge bummer to me that there isnt a better selection of velocity stacks at this size. I want to use one at the end of this tube to clamp the filter to.

Did you get the bracket to mount the front of it to the dash?

Yes sir. It even came with all the screws but the guy took it all apart to ship it. It appears to be 100% complete.
