I just looked at a 4L80E tune and it shows TCC apply and release in second, third, and fourth.
The problem with the 80e with an 80e tune is that whenever the tcc is locked, and you let off of the throttle, it would unlock the tcc as if you were pressing on the brake. Then when you would reapply throttle, it would lock again. It was very annoying in stop and go traffic or typical city driving. But if you have HPT, it is no longer a problem. Sounds like EFI live hasn't added those tables yet.

Now back to GMC's thread. Sorry we got off track

Here is a screen shot. It looks like you can set the TCC to release below a certain speed in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

Sounds like you can't change the Gear ratios with HPT???

So if you wanted to lets say run a 2.75 first gear in the 4L80E can HPT make the change for you if you send in the file???

Not trying to bash brands just trying to learn.

Yea that is a normal tcc release table. You could set it to only release under 5mph, but with an 80e, it used to still release if the tps went to 0. There wasn't a fix for it. Thats is why people would do the relay mod. So they could run the 60e tune with a 80e and keep the tcc locked even when the throttle was released. Search on here and you will read every 80e owner pissing about the tcc unlocking even though they tuned the release table to not unlock over a certain mph.

So even if you adjusted the TCC throttle release speed tables it would still do this???
MPH Vs. TPS %

Or was this just with HPT??? What did they add to correct this???

Was not just with HPT. EFI live still does it from what I've heard. HPT is the only one with a fix. They added a minimum throttle release table to the tcc section as I stated before. Now it releases as it should.

It was only down for 1-2 days twice and it was over the weekend.

I am looking at buying a high mileage yukon/tahoe for a daily but my wife needs to pick out a new vehicle first.

I know I am late to the discussion. If your still needing something to pad the hose through the notches in the bed, Tractor Supply Company sells conveyor belt. They have 4 inch wide 1/4 inch thick sold at $.99 a foot. It has a nice cushion to it, and so far it seems to handle non-exhaust heat well. It cuts cleaning, and can be drilled. I got 10 ft for $9.90 and put the rest of the roll up. I am always needing something like that.

Well i finally got around or ordering the 4-Link software , hopefully they supply me with the unlocking code tomorrow.

I hit a little snag... I sent the front chassis bracket off to a fellow member to duplicate and cut out in 1/4 plate. Well he said that bracket was poorly designed..... So i am going to redesign the bracket using the new software. After playing around with the demo version, you can do some pretty crazy stuff! After i get the rear bracket measured and input, i can design the front bracket based on the length of the bar, it will plot all the holes based on arch, then i can get the new measurements sent of to get cutout

I still need to get the truck weighed to really get an idea on the bracket/bar placement. My buddy with 4 corner scales should be freed up in a few weeks, so i should know the number shortly.

There were several different software choices, i went with Performance trends 4-Link calculator the "Plus" version. below are some pics
