Trying to figure out some outstanding items like fuel and cam. There is a gas station by our drag strip that sells 91, 94, 100, 110, and E85. So I have a wide variety to run with my blower. Now if this station closes down then I am left with E85 and 91. Is any one better than the other aside from the prices? For a cam I am seeing that LS9 cam is a solid choice and budget friendly. Would my current cam that is 225/230 .617/.612 112 LSA be a decent choice or is it too big? I know the blower doesnt need a lot of cam.

The tuning forgiveness window between 91 and E85 would be pretty significant. You'll have to be much more careful on 91 for sure, but if going E you then need a fuel system up to the task as it's consumption is about 30% above regular pump. I'm not a cam expert by any stretch of means but it seems the cam you have compared to "traditional PD blower" cams has a bit tight lobe separation and not much overlap. That being said I think it'd work and you'd be going backwards to an LS9 cam but someone much smarter on me will chime on on this subject for ya I hope.

Thanks, well I am already getting fuel setup compatible with E85, but didnt know if one was better than other. My stock LS3 injectors wont be enough or E85 compatible. Looking around for bigger ones, there are some for sale on other forums like some 850cc or stock LSA. I am hesitant on stock LSA injectors as they max out when you start adding power adders.

The 850s are good to about 800 horse on pump gas, and you need 1000s to get e85 to that range.

Your cam is fine i wouldnt change it

I dont think I could ever hit that high of HP. So I bet 850's will be ok like you said. If I did E85 do I just need injectors, fuel pump, and tune to accommodate it?

Need to make sure whatever lines you use are alcohol compatible. And if you want to get fancy you can use a flex fuel sensor and it will accommodate for both.

They are still the stock lines from the 2000 silverado era. I would have to do some digging if they are compatible.

As far as I know the stock lines are compatible.

Why not just do flex fuel? Also no 93 in Amarillo?
