Have been thinking about that filler tube......... will probably do just that. Hope to have it in the pickup in about 10 to 14 days. Will put 400 to 500 miles on it before I go WOT. Well need to head for Minn.

Just wondering if you messed with the carbs at all when you first threw them on or just took them out and slapped them on and left them? Or where they ordered to the engine specs and your location?

It is a Pro Systems carb. When I called them they took all the engine specs and whether or not I was going to run nitrous and if so how much. So the carb came ready to go for my engine. They flow test and have it pretty much ready to run. They did say I might have to adjust float level due to how it sets on the engine. And it really ran great. can't wait to get the engine back in and running.

Nice build i like it. its kinda cool to see a carb on a new style truck. i like it. most guys that are from the old muscle day stick to the old school muscle. i like how you have found that the new small blocks can make tons of power. big power out of small motors. cant wait to hear how it runs. keep us posted

Well, finally got the motor in and took care of a few small leaks etc. Got dark and I'm beat. So I'll take some picks tomorrow and see if I can't figure out how to download a video. We changed the oil and filter after 20 minutes of idle and tweeking and drove it 5 miles and changed the oil and filter again. OVERKILL maybe... but I'm taking every precaution I can to keep this motor together. I'm going to put 500 miles on it without going over 3000 rpm.
Anyway I'm stoked and really can't wait to get it broke in and get my 1 gal fuel cell ,fuel pump, fuel lines and regulator installed. Also get my line lock on. and then the nitrous purge. Probably will get it on the DYNO in about a month. See what the numbers will be. Hoping for at least 410 at the rear wheels and then with 250 shot about 600.
It does sound pretty good. Theres only about 3' of 3" pipe off the headers and then 2 40 series flowmasters and then pipes turned down .
Steve Sr.
Here are some updated pics and a video ( sound is not the best.) Video wouldn't download. will figure that out later, have to sleep and leave for minnesota.
