Do some research on the difference between the lq4 and lq9. I remember reading something that one came in the 2500's and was detuned compared to the other which was in denali's?? I can't remember. Not sure if there was any mechanical differences between the 2 or not... Good looking trucks for sure man, keep up the good work. There is so much info on this sight that its ridiculous, you just gotta dig for it sometimes.

Did you end up getting the 6.0 tuned?
im looking for heads and intake for the 5.3

the 6.0 has not been put in a truck yet. it will be going in my 85 that im going to start working on this summer when i get back home from school.

alright guys its been awhile since any updates. but ive decided to leave my 5.3 alone, not worry about heads or intake. I want to start building my 6.0 now for my 85 c10. but i got some questions

ive really been looking into many different options for the 6.0 im just not sure on what i want to do.
First option
i would really like to bore and stroke it but not sure where the best place to order the crank, rods, and pistons from. Also once i do that then i would need help with a cam choice and everything that goes along with that. (not sure how much different all the parts would have to be from my 5.3)
second option
I thought about just doing cam swap and throwing a trick stage 2 or 3 on it.

if i could get some peoples opinions on what would be needed for both would be great.

Cool project(s). I'd go with option two. Except I would put my own turbo kit together. Not sure on the suspension parts.

Its been awhile but i have not been home all semester so i have not got the chance to actually start on the 85 but will be going home here in a couple weeks for the Christmas holidays so i should be able to get some stuff done to suspension. also ive decided to go with my first choice and do the 408 and then further down the road get a turbo kit for it.

so i was just wondering where most of yall get yalls rotating assembly to build a 408. i see there is alot of options out there and a huge price range. so im not trying to go cheap or anything on this engine build but im not trying buy the top of the line stuff either (if that makes any sense). so if i could get some input on what kits or what parts yall are getting for 408 builds would be really helpfull

got a question for you guys.
so my sierra has been alot of fun since its been cammed. but here recently my transmission has been shifting in and out of over drive when cruising at highway speeds. This is the only problem i am having with it, so i dont believe the transmission is going out.

anyone ever had this happen?

thinking maybe tune or maybe one of the solenoids i the trans is going out.
